Able Care have been excellent looking after our mother over the last 2 years. My mother had dementia, however, with the help of the carers at Able Care we were able to keep her in her own home which is what my mother and our family wanted. We found all the staff who were provided very caring and conscientious. Two of the carers were there for the 2 years my mother needed live in care. Especially during these difficult COVID times, Able provided continuity of care which was so important. Thank you to all the staff and carers at Able.

We used this agency to look after my mother who has deteriorating dementia and we hoped we could keep her at home. We agreed live in care in the annex my Mum lives in alongside our home. The carers we were sent were all pleasant and competent on the day to day care but seemed to struggle with the dementia behaviours. We were working with the doctor to support Mum's condition with medication but unfortunately that takes time. We had two incidents of low level aggression towards the carers both following a fall which Mum had whilst in their care. Although as I lived on site I was aware of these issues and was able to support, I received no contact from the agency about any of these issues including the fall. When I rang up to speak to them about Mum's care they assured me that they would continue to work with us until the medication took effect and sent an email to confirm that. The following day, with no discussion, they sent a further email withdrawing care with one week's notice, including a Bank Holiday. This caused unnecessary stress both for Mum and for us as a family. I emailed the agency to raise my concerns about the service they had provided. I received an initial response along with a promise to look into it further. I have since received no further communications apart from a final bill for their services.
As a family, we have only the highest praise for Able Care. The 24 hour live in carer they provided has been superb and has provided exactly the support needed. by my parents in law. The agency's attention to detail and administration has been excellent. Many thanks
On behalf of J Bowles, in Ely my Nan suffers from parkinsons disease at the age of 88 I was recommended to use Able Care by a close friend who's Parents have care from them and they couldn't be more happy as they are also receiving excellent care along with superb communication by Michelle in the office. Able Care visited my Nans home to do an initial assessment which was very thorough to ensure my Nan had the right care even at this stage Able Care gave me some great advice on improving the quality of life for my Nan and reassured me on my decision to use them, I can't recommend them enough brilliant carers who are very professional, experienced and caring. My Nan has had 5 different Able Care carers over a 3 month period all really good with my Nan being very happy, I have used other agencies and had nothing but ball ache but for me Able care offer not just great Carers but a very high level of customer service and communication which is very professional along with understanding. Thank you Able Care for all your help, my Nan has never been so content PS she loves the meals they provide I am thinking of moving in lol
I would like to Take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to you for giving me the opportunity to work for Able Care Agency, I really appreciate the time I have spent working with you, on both a professional and personal level, I have certainly learned a lot as a Live -Care giver . Some points I would love to share, Sense working for Able Care I have grown in confidence, and I feel this is down to such a wonderful supportive team, who have always been there when ever I have needed support or advice when on shift. One of the reasons I decided to work for Able Care , after working for the NHS for many years, I took early retirement and had a break, I then thought I would love to try something new, but when I say something new it had to be a job that I could make a difference to people's lives , so I done some research regarding working in the community . I came across Able Care Agency, and what I found exciting was you could work as a live-in career , for me this was a perfect way of making a difference to someone's life,. So after reading some more and discovered, that they had been going over 30 years, and did there best to make sure you both had the same interests, and way of living.
