Not the biggest fan of Asda Runcorn. I always feel as though people go there for a day out with the kids. Today’s experience was a spare of the moment decision and it paid off. Shelves well stocked, reasonably quiet for Saturday before Christmas. Staff were helpful looking for a few items. I wasn’t thrown into the aisles to look for myself but guided. Another nice touch in customer service. Traffic being directed in the car park, it does help, especially when drivers get frustrated and Nicki on till number one was a star, she helped with pricing and was really efficient. Thanks for a much better experience than I have had over the years

On a Saturday afternoon yesterday during a national lockdown you would never know visiting here. There is no monitoring of numbers. The carpark alone was almost full. I decided not to go in. Extremely disappointed. Improve your safety! Look after customers instead of profit.

It’s usually hit or miss with this Asda in Runcorn. Most of the time it’s fairly packed, especially with it being close to Christmas right now. The self check out isn’t as used as it should be and all the cashier check out lanes were rammed with customers going back down all the aisles that ultimately disrupt shopping experiences for everyone else. Seems there is no way to stop the amount of customers other than making the store larger or making another store in Runcorn. I normally check out the Scotch Whisky aisle because I can usually spot a good sale or discount on premium Scotch Whisky. This time they had Dalwhinnie Winters Gold for only 26 pounds (about 35). This is normally an 80 bottle in the US so I grabbed it quickly. Again I recommend visiting this store if it’s a Monday to Friday but during the weekend I would be careful as it’s rammed with the entire town.

The fresh produce looked fresh once only not at the point of purchase it doesn't last long at home. Parking can be a nitemare staff never smiling or helpful it's a miserable place to go shopping dirty entrance loads of detritus left in the trolleys they could film a zombie movie in this store without having to hire actors. Not the best asda I've been to. Only in desperation would you want to spend your money in this store
