Great service, great food and decent prices too. Place was very clean and really enjoyed out visit. Even without a reservation the staff were able to get us seated straightaway. Staff were very polite and took out order promptly. Would visit again and highly recommended.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. A few issues. Flies! 4 different staff waitered our table Great menu but several items not available including the cocktails. Butter was out of date, other than that the food tastes great and was filling

A wonderful French restaurant next to the River Avon . I've been here for dinner and now breakfast and it's got a wonderful décor and lovely views of the River and Roman Bridge.

Very nice food (the menu offers a fairly wide selection of dishes) and pleasant view of the stone bridge over the Avon. Some outdoor seating under shady tree as well as spacious conservatory and more conventional, well-appointed interior. Service efficient with friendly and helpful staff. Like Café Rouge, the aim is to offer a dining experience with a French twist, but in the opinion of reviewer, Bistrot Philippe is definitely the better of the two.

Had a lovely meal here, had the early evening Prix Fixe menu, 15.95 for two courses, the honey glazed pork medallions we're delicious, it came with a lovely creamy & tasty sauce which also has mustard in there, it also came with carrots, broccoli and potatoes (only criticism would be that this was a small portion of mixed veg & potatoes). Had the chocolate brownie for dessert which was very rich, accompanied with salted caramel ice cream which was the best part for me. Also there was a very good choice of items on the early bird menu, something for everyone. I thought overall it was good value, good service and a great atmosphere
