Went in for cataract and lens replacement in left eye. Apprehensive at first but staff very friendly and welcoming. Relaxing sitting with other patients and hearing there experiences. Surgery was fast and professional pain free. Altogether a pleasant and satisfying visit.

Really shambolic admin, impossible to speak to anybody. Arrange to call you but don’t. Lost all confidence in this hospital cancelling my op and going elsewhere. Really surprised to be treated like this when paying

Desk staff nice helpful, nothing personal,,, nothing is explained Dr don't talk to you not even to say hello. Like sitting in a queue. Eye drops in you wate then taken into a room told to lie on a table. No one tells you what to expect. Dr dose not say a word. When finished told get up and go. Phone up to ask a question told someone will phone you back.. Do do seeing you.

I had a very unhappy experience! I don’t think that all of our experience took more than 5min. My mum was reffed from her optician. We feel as a number, the 5 min was everything, question and nurse undertaking different eye sites and eye drops before seeing doctor. When we came inside I explained to doctor that my mum is not speaking English and he was very unprofessional saying that “how long she’s been here?” After finding out that she is been in uk 2 yrs he asked me “so why is she not speaking English after 2yrs?”. My mum is 67 yrs old, I don’t think people so old can learn a second language and why it is so questionable. He didn’t even started to examen my mum and said she will not be undertaking cataract operation there because she will need a translator as they said I can’t as I am her relative and I can want her harm if I am translating? So strange, she will be referred to NHS to have her operation under general anaesthetic. I don’t want my mum to have general anaesthetic at her 67 year old. I was so upset and I wanted to ask if I can pay for a license translator they will do the operation? I need to contact management so I can understand better this tipe of behaviour between private and NHS pacient.
