Looked nice but was closed despite being within currently displayed opening hours. Had a nice circular walk from here instead

Incredible, have wanted to visit for a while now and so happy I finally got to, just amazing, it brought a lot of my reading about the fascinating people that lived and worked here to life its like a little time warp and fantastic to see the house without restrictions and rope barriers. The guides are a wealth of knowledge which just makes me want to learn more. A must see for anyone interested in the Bloomsbury set.

Whenever we are in the area we book up tickets to visit Charleston. The staff are so knowledge and passionate about the history and inhabitants of the house and it is hard to not get lost in the spirit of it all. Excellent newly renovated cafe with superb gallery space. The gardens are perfectly maintained too. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Wow, what a wonderful place to visit. We went during the winter and due to annual cleaning and conservation some rooms were not available. But to make up for it you have a guided tour with a well informed guide. They were knowledgeable and great fun as well as giving us insights we would never have access too. There is a great tea room here with snacks, wide access toilet and ramps. Other collections to see and improvements happening all the time. Will be going again in the summer.

I went on a tour of this wonderful and historic place and was very intrigued to learn about the art and goings on of the people who lived here. The gardens and house are my favourite as they have so much history surrounding them which is preserved so well. The art gallery was rather spectacular also, but with a bit less excitement surrounding it for me - but that’s just my opinion as I prefer the blast to the past feel of the house so much. I’d defined recommend one goes and visit this place.
