I visited Church Gresley Fish Bar today while working in the area selected to buy the 2 regular bag of chips instead of a small bag and also bought a large sausage for 1.30 total 3.30 when the bag was handed to me I was surprised first of all with how small the portion was for 2 worth of chips. Originally I was just taking the photograph to say how small the portion was when I noticed a small piece of wire possibly from a scouring pad used to clean the work surface inside the chip shop this is something I did not expect obviously but after that I carefully looked at every single chip that I picked out of the packet incase there was more wire. I didn't go back into the chip shop about the purchase because I had left the area. On the plus side the chips were well cooked

Had 9in kebab pizza box was fantastic, way to much food for 2 people. Well worth a try.

Would recommend trying the pizza box specials although everything we have had has been nice, and reasonably priced. Girls are great and friendly. 5 stars all round.

Nice staff. The food is well priced and they serve a really tasty scallop or fritter!! I really enjoy the chicken kebabs. Just a tip always order on a naan otherwise it's never big enough. My only complaint would be that there is not enough salad or sauce.

Slow service, waited ages.....Then the piece of fish I got was so dry and rigid I could hold it up horizontally by the thin end of the tail.... The chips were also dry and tasteless, more of a cardboard texture than chips... & the mushy peas looked like they'd be more suited in Chernobyl than a chippy in South Derbyshire!!
