I bought a bike in August this year and was told by text in September that I could no longer have it. I went to the Ipswich shop where I had bought it and asked the staff to help me get the refund. What a great group of people that work there. I was so impressed with their helpfulness, attitude, patience and good humour. Over the last 3 weeks they have made endless calls to customer services (as there is no direct call option for the public), sent emails, made endless followup calls, more calls. They have spent ages searching their website for the number of someone in their organisation to contact to enable the refund to be made. This has been an epic exercise to get my money back. Since Evans was bought by Sports Direct everything has changed. No autonomy, no access to processes, no response. Through all of this these wonderful men have been so positive and helpful. A big cheer to them and many many thanks, and to Sport Direct... Treat your wonderful staff right, give them some autonomy and give refunds back without a battle when you are unable to supply what has been paid for.

I went in to get some replacement disc brake caliper bolts as i'd gone down to a smaller disc size. I saw Robin and Alfie in the service department and they were really helpful and they knew exactly what I needed. I'll definitely use Evans again and would recommend them. I didn't even have to wait! 5* thanks guys!

My wife took our eldest daughter's bike to Evans in Martlesham, Suffolk to repair her front brake. The service she received was genuinely superb. In addition to repairing the brake cable, the staff member called John also made a few other adjustments to the bike at no charge and was happy to offer sound advice too. We will certainly use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Dropped in on Sunday for a small item to repair seat. Before I could buy, the staff and workshop insisted on looking at old part first to see if they could make a quick repair. 5 minutes later old piece returned o me repaired, with no cost. Excellent customer service and thanks to Mark, I believe, who was the engineer repairing. I already service my other bicycle here, which is also done very well - so re-enforces my view of excellent customer care and service.

Picked up a new Pinnacle Arkose X this weekend on the bike to work scheme, and could not be happier with the bike and service from Evans! Not being the most knowledgeable about bikes, it was fantastic to walk in and have the very friendly staff, advise me on what was needed, and best options for accessories etc. It's clear the guys that work there are all passionate about cycling, and genuinely want me to enjoy my bike. I will certainly be going back soon for my first service, and no doubt more accessories ;) One very happy customer.
