Absolutely brilliant service from Tom and Wayne who fixed a stubborn electrical problem on my Peugeot 206. They were polite, speedy and helpful and determined to make sure the problem was fixed before sending me on my way. Highly recommended. Will be going back for a full service next month.

DO NOT USE!!! NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STAR! I had an MOT here and was told I’d have to hang round another hour before my certificate would be made available as it initially failed because a locking nut was missing, after having the locking nut replaced the Manager Nick informed me that he would post the passed MOT to me, brilliant! 1-2 weeks later still no MOT, so my girlfriend pops in to collect it, he goes on about how he needs this and that in order to release my mot to her, so I provided it all to him over the phone. After some time of pointless discussion back and forth he decides to tell us that the system is down, why didn’t he mention this first? I asked if he could send it through email later that day. 2-3 days later, you guessed it, no email! I ring through to speak to him as obviously by now I’m really not happy, and he says it’s not there, he can’t find it on the system, the MOT should have been entered onto the system the same day I had the MOT! I’ve spoken to VOSA and they confirmed that they can only see the failed MOT logged, clearly the Passed MOT was not entered, even though it took place the same day no more than an hour after the failure. He then goes on to tell me that the only thing to do now is re test the car, knowing that I live 30 miles away from this garage which he knows as he agreed to post it to me to prevent me having to come back. I told him I would be making a complaint as the service I have received was unacceptable and disappointing. He then hung up and wouldn't answer any further calls. I currently have no valid MOT and have been driving my car unaware ever since. An area manger complaint has been made, I can’t wait to hear from him! Save your money and use it elsewhere!

If it was possible to give zero stars for this place I would. I took my 2010 VW in for its first MOT on a Saturday. The guys were running late, but I forgive that. I eventually got a call back to tell me that the shock absorbers were damaged and leaking badly, and the rear breaks were out of alignment, so the car had failed. 2 days later I took the car to VW Welsh, who were fantastic. The car passed with no failures at all. Clearly someone was wrong here, but rarely would a garage pass up work, so I believe the pass. These guys are clearly trying to take advantage of motorists and a less informed individual could be caught out. I tried complaining to Halfords central customer services who were useless and referred me straight back to the garage operating under their name. Ray, the gentleman on the desk said the car was a genuine MOT fail and there would be no refund. These guys took 30 of my money for nothing, and tried to swindle me out of another 300 for the work that supposedly needed doing. Avoid at all costs!

I don't tend to leave reviews unless i feel the need to let people know that i have had an atrocious to brilliant experience. This halfords is run by a bunch of cowboys whole pretty much stole 400 of my hard earned money on a routine check and replaced working items of my vehicle with what appeared to be second hand parts which were a danger to myself. I was advised of a 'common' problem with my car, never before heard of by any other mechanic or garage, however, all the 'lads' in the garage seemed to agree heavily i needed certain parts replaced which came to over 250. I left the garage having bought into their bullsh*t. A week later i thought i'd be needing a new car, took it for a second opinion to be told by another mechnic for free, to take my car back to the garage who had previously done any worked as they had royally fudged it up. Upon taking it back to halfords and informed them, they put the car back on the ramp and it was evident from every mechanics face, one mouthing 'fu**ing h*ll' that the worked carried out had not quite been up to scratch. They went from having no availability for a week to dropping everything to cover up their dirty work. I shall most certainly not be going anywhere near this place again and highly recommend anyone else to do the same, unless you want someone to make up problems which aren't there and fleece you out of your hard earned money, i'm pretty sure this review speaks for itself and you'd definitely expect more from a reputable company as I did, who clearly take advantage of people who haven't got a clue about cars.

There's a sycophantic atmosphere of being really helpful only on the surface, it's never cheap and often my good nature gets taken advantage of.
