Bought a battery 3 months ago with 5 years warranty. Failed and took it back to the shop for a replacement. They tested the battery and was told the battery was fine trying to blame me about it. Later on took the battery to Halfords in Plymouth where they tested the battery again proving to be faulty. All the staff was very kind and happily refund me. I can not say the same about Halfords St Austell, specially the manager (Ben) who has no idea about customer care.

Needed advice on recent purchases. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Explained what I needed and why, made everything very simple. Good store.
Took the wife's car there for MOT. they obviously didn't realise I worked on vehicles all the time. I hadn't had a chance to go over the car as me and my wife work full time and weekends. Thay failed it, fair enough I expected it. However, on closer inspection even though they where right about basic obvious things they where well off on everything else. They missed several things that are quite noticeable under the car and faulted several things that have nothing wrong and are like new. To top this off they quoted for works without me asking at three times the labour cost it should be. Beware! These big firms have quoters to meet and work on commissions for certain parts. I have replaced all parts and kept the old ones with photos.
