Visited on a Saturday night and the food was okay but the service was very slow and inattentive. In particular it took about 30 minutes to get the bill after having to get up to ask for it. In addition, one glass had lipstick on it and my main had a long black hair on it. Overall, this place does have a lovely interior, a cosy, authentic feeling environment and a great menu selection, but just a shame the execution was poor.

Super cool hidden place with nice mussels ! Must try. As it’s hidden, feels like you’re actually in Belgium or France.

Very Good Basic Bistro as we like them! Food is really good, some hand made on site, Sherwoods Little Gem! Do try it’s worth it! My only complaint is no Escargot! Maybe later? Xx

4 of us dined last night. The only spoiler was, the mussels were overcooked and some had broken shells. Had to pay for additional bread too. Were given 2 tiny pots to place discarded shells. Got 10% off the mussels dish but still disappointing. The rest was good though with a particularly lovely Creme Brulee. Good service too despite a mix up with the puddings.

Attention to detail is lacking, had the lunch special with onion soup, tasty but really difficult to eat with a spoon, I would say the staff have never actually tried to eat this dish, the onions could do with being chopped into quarters as trying to get a spoon full with any table manners is difficult, the onions were too long to pick up on the spoon. Main course was the mussels, pretty tasty but presented very poorly, most had chipped shells and some were just plain squashed. Bits of shell in the sauce made them a little disappointing. The gents toilet could be a lot better, things like the cistern leaking down the wall and leaving a blue trail of water, generally grubby. If you can't get the things that the public can see sorted it makes me ask questions about other areas of the business. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to speak with the staff as the two of them were busy.

Great laid back restaurant, selling amazing french food for a fair price. A nice selection of dishes and the fixed lunch menu is brilliant. Definitely worth the visit!
