Lovely experience at Miller & Carter Lakeside. I was delayed due to having an appointment but my husband was able to sit down and have a drink while he waited. Alison, our waitress, was lovely and the service was excellent! The food was outstanding. We had the chicken pieces and mushrooms as starters and then steaks for mains. There was so much food and it tasted amazing! Well worth the price! The location of the restaurant and building itself just added to the experience. Would definitely recommend!

This is one of our go-to restaurants as the food and hospitality are amazing (we are always willing to travel from SE London to this branch, although there are some M & C's closer to home). First time back at the restaurant since Covid restrictions and again, we had another lovely evening; with Becky as our waitress this time - very personable, good sense of humour and customer service just seemed second nature (I felt very comfortable and welcome). Becky was attentive; always making sure drinks were topped up and we had updates on arrival of food, etc. Becky also made sure we were happy with the food and we had all we needed, and did not clear plates until everyone had finished eating (a VERY good thing in my book). 10/10 service tonight - thank you Becky! The restaurant as a whole is handling the restrictions very well and we managed to keep our distance from other customers, although it was fairly busy this evening. Goes without saying, we will definitely be back!

The starters were fine and a great portion. The pork loin was a real disappointment. The menu states it comes with asparagus and spinach and you would expect more than ONE asparagus spear and some small scattered leaves that may have been spinach. Both items and the meat were dried out as though they’d been kept under a heat lamp too long. Fortunately it came with a pot of sauce that moistened it up.

Very lovely steak and the staff were very polite. A enjoyable Monday evening and a very relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes you feel C-19 has made some restaurants more relaxed and welcoming
