I have worked at phoenix care for nearly 5 years and have been made welcome from day one excellent training in House and on field. Management go above and beyond for the service users and also the staff were all treated like family Jo and jez are absolutely brilliant mangers really easy to talk to and can have a laugh with im really glad I moved from my old company to this one I'm near to my kids school, if I get called into school which i do alot jo will give me time off to get it sorted absolutely love working for phoenix care

I have worked for phoenix care for the past 3 years. The training is excellent using updated software for practical tasks which has a pass rate of 85% is accepted before being allowed to work in the field. full moving and handling plus first aid training is given by in house trainer. when visiting clients you are shadowed got at least 7 days additional shadowing is given if needed. training is on going and support and advise is available at all times.

I’d been working in home care for about 8 yrs but had lost all confidence in the company I was working for. I was ready to give it up completely. However I’d seen the Phoenix Care offices on Denby Dale road and decided to give them a call. ‘Nothing to lose’ I thought. Went in for a chat and spoke to Jo on a very informal basis. Got a really good vibe that day. Following more formal processes I was subsequently offered a position and I have not regretted accepting. Jo, Jez and their team are very ‘hands on’ And know all their clients and carers personally. .. not just numbers on a spread sheet here... Always someone to talk to, get advice/help. This company genuinely has the care of its people at heart. Home care is not a job for the faint hearted .. nor is it brilliant pay. It can be physically and emotionally challenging and things don’t always go to plan. (But that’s true of any job) but it is SO SATISFYING! and when you’ve got a team along side you to help or listen and understand when things get tough... well that’s why I love it

Absolutely fantastic company to work for, when I had interview I stated the hours I could work due to childcare and they always make sure I'm given hours that I can do. I'm never given hours that I struggle with. Management go above and beyond to help if you ever need it. Training is super. All staff are fab and when I joined I felt more them welcome. Top company

When we could no longer provide the care nanny needed I called upon Phoenix Care. It was hard to believe someone would give nanny the same level of care that we as a family would, or make sure that with her dementia she would be treated like the amazing lady she truly was and with the care and attention she deserved. But from day one I couldn’t be more impressed. Phoenix care treated nanny so professionally, yet personally with love, care and, most importantly, with dignity. It was so nice to be able to finally relax, without guilt, knowing that nanny was in the safest hands. Their expertise not only brought to our attention other areas of her health that needed addressing, swifter than we would have noticed as lay people, but also helped us understand how simple things could affect her behaviour, that we hadn’t known about before...it helped explained so many things. As a result of the care she received we managed to keep nanny at home for much longer than expected, which brought peace of mind to us all as nanny was clearly happy in her own home. I can’t say enough great things about the support, understanding and excellent care received from this company. It is run by a lady who clearly makes the people she cares for her top priority. I can’t commend this company enough.
