I agree with all the negative comment on this column. Do NOT use this auction house. Unsold items can and do get 'mislaid' or 'lost/stolen' if you don't retrieve them as soon as possible after auction. Really, don't delay getting unsold stuff back as I did. You need to be on your toes with them. When I went to them retrieve an unsold rare vintage 22ct gold/jade chinese donut pendant, I was told at first that it had been 'mislaid' and only after pressing them for many months on the issue was I finally told that it was either lost or stolen and that they were not discussing the matter any further. Not the result you would expect from a firm of this calibre. Avoid them. I know now that I should have.

This auction house is most possibly the worst auction house in all of Ireland. The proprietors are the most arrogant, condescending and contemptuous people I have ever encountered - their valuations ludicrous and insulting. Angus Clarke, Company Director, is completely incapable. Avoid.

Saw some negative reviews of them, but we found them to be very professional and positive to deal with.

Please avoid. Its not worth the hassle. There is no openness nor transparency about the bidding

Daniel Clarke of Ross' visited our home several years ago and I still feel upset about it. He insulted our family home and made us feel like we were beneath him. My grandfather had been a jeweller and we wanted to sell stock from the shop. We used Ross' online auction. They did sell our items but took a high commission and exhibited an appalling snobbish, insulting and unpleasant attitude which actually left us feeling quite shaken. I would strongly advise anyone with items to sell to avoid this company at all costs.

A nice change from online auctions. Good fun for a browze and the occasional purchase. With weekly auctions you never know what you will find. Auction staff are friendly and approachable and cafe does a decent coffee !
