Such a shame as I’ve heard good things from other people and me and my partner came here through recommendation. The restaurant was really nice and clean inside considering the current climate which was great to see and the wine was lovely too. However service was so slow when the restaurant wasn’t even half full, it took 35 minutes to order our food and we had to call a waitress over to take our order. My partners steak was no where near an 8oz, more like 4 and my burger was full of gristle. I did mention this politely one of the waitresses as I had only taken a bite of my burger once our plates were collected but no mention of an apology or an offer for a new one. So I ended up paying 13 for a plate of fries. It was also my partners birthday and it wasn’t even acknowledged even though it was known at booking stage. It might of been just a one off but trying Rump and Wade for the first time, I won’t be returning.

It was a very warm and hospitable venue. Polite & friendly staff and the food was very good, well presented and reasonably priced. Despite the Pandemic. I would recommend the place to anyone visiting the Old Town

Afternoon tea for a birthday. Lovely food. Plenty of it! Needed to take the cakes home! Had sandwiches, a cherry mousse and two large scones with jam and cream. Could've done with more cream. Not really enough for two. Shame the tea was tepid but they did replace it quickly.

Went here for lunch with my father for his 83rd birthday. Very nice atmosphere. Helpful staff. I was able to ask for something that wasn’t on the menu and it was accommodated. Would eat here again
