Martin really prepares well for all of his lessons & caters to all learning styles.. He knows the strengths & weaknesses of his students & he is very encouraging! Classes are fun & interactive too. It was only after visiting Spain a few times this year that I realised just how relevant his classes have been. The knowledge of the language that I have gained over the past year has been very relevant!! MB

Martin does not just teach us the Spanish language, he also introduces us to the culture and history of Spanish speaking countries thus helping us to gain an understanding of all things Spanish. In addition, reports on current events are read and discussed. We learn Spanish grammar, prepare activities, have lots of conversations in Spanish. The classes are interactive, well structured, fun and enjoyable. We even get visits to Spain thrown in! There is a suitable level/class for everyone and I highly recommend all of them !
If you are looking to learn a new language in a relaxed, friendly and fun environment, then I would strongly recommend attending Martin's classes. Ranging from absolute beginners to the more advanced learners, Spanish is taught in a great way that suits all learning preferences. Martin has an immense passion for the language which sparks the enthusiasm to learn within us all. I started attending Martin's class from September 2016, I've met a lot of great people and look forward to all of the upcoming lessons.
I Have tried lessons at a local College but large class sizes and a strict adherence to the curriculum made the lessons just paper exercises & boring. With Martin he makes the lessons relevant to our needs & makes it easier to understand with use of visuals so its an enjoyable evening. He must get frustrated with our attempts at grammar and pronunciation but he never shows it. We all enjoy the music & his background knowledge of Spanish speaking countries gives a rounded approach to learning the language and the country we visit regularly.
I have studied Spanish with Martin for several years and am currently in the advanced group. The classes are enjoyable and provide a good mix of grammar, speaking and writing skills together with an appreciation of the culture of the Spanish speaking world delivered through various media. The course is well planned and structured, good value for money and the resources provided are excellent.
