Disgraceful company never even sent out a renewal notice and last year set me up with one of the most useless companys ever costing nearly 1500 hundred pounds annually with 550 excess I had an accident on the 11 March Todd walked away saying nothing to do with them also the other company are trying to do the same it is now 13 may I have had no car since March and my car is written off disgusted Never use Todd's insurance

There are currently better, more customer focussed insurance businesses than this one. Not what they were..... Evidence suggests it is not run,/managed/led with the customer in mind. Now appears to be an internalised self interested rather than externalised customer focused business. Restricted standard opening hours, a poor website, no customer service / complaints department (only accounts), background giggles and laugher when you do get through on the telephone, an email server that regularly advises it is full - and if received, emails go unanswered and there are no out of office / on holiday messages. Emailed requests as to where to find information are ignored. They use insurance industry terminology that is not familiar to a lay person - with the apparent aim to catch the customer out. They also rely on information in correspondence relating to previous policies/contracts. In my many years buying insurance directly and through brokers I have never had such a negative experience as that recently experienced through Todd Insurance. I have been arranging my insurance through Todds for a number of years - perhaps what might have been a local small caring business has become too big or been bought over and there is new management / structures in place. Something has changed. They need to test drive and learn from the customer / consumer experience of companies such as Autoline (Ni based) , Saga (national), Consumer Standards and the Financial Ombudsman. I try to support local businesses and give feedback on how they can improve - as I wish NI to be the best it can. Todds have some way to go....
