Great place and excellent service. Should have booked owing to restrictions but landlady was friendly and helpful at found a place for us. Had the nut roast Sunday lunch which was fab. Recommended and will hopefully go there again.

I went to this place with members of my family for a birthday dinner. What a lovely place , a couple of things did let it down though. Where we sat was near the bar , it was freezing there . I personally don't feel the cold , but even this time I could have done with a woolly jumper and coat. The food came , it was ok , but if you pay 26 for a steak it should be outstanding. I wouldn't rush back , a long way out , for in my opinion overpriced food. Service was also very slow.

Quite simply the best pub food we have ever had! Plus the bar area is dog friendly. Highly recommend this pub but make sure you book to avoid disappointment

The food is good, with dishes priced 15 - 20 and of high quality. Service was friendly but average, with tables being moved towards the end of service being a bit disruptive, leaving us feeling a little rushed. The outdoor space with small 'zoo' is a bit alternative but makes the place all the more special for families during the summer months. Would return.

Had a meal here this evening with two 8year olds & 6 adults - ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Lovely welcome with great home cooked food & friendly impeccable service. Kids loved the animals at the rear of the pub & playground next door. Highly recommend.
