Excellent food, excellent service superb cask ales 5*all round, lovely pub.
We’ve been quite a few times before lockdown when Phil the previous owner was still there and it was excellent... unfortunately the new owners haven’t continued with the same service, the beer ( wainwright’s) tasted like it had been in the barrel since lockdown, the restaurant wasn’t busy yet it took 20 mins after sitting down just to order a drink. The atmosphere was terrible, they had the government announcement on every tv Then as soon as we ordered food the waitress demanded payment... very strange. Anyway it can only get better. Won’t be going again
Always been a good pint and a nice steak meal.
