Wonderful people, so helpful. RSPCA weren't interested in helping. Acorn staff even travelled to South Wales to rescue a youngster today. Thank you so much.

I’m so glad that Acorn squirrel rescue was there for me to take in Nutella the 3week old baby squirrel my daughter & I found still huddled in his nest that was blown out of the tree. I would of kept him myself otherwise, rather than my daughter knowing I sent him to his death by letting the Vets deal with him by putting him to sleep. I think Acorn does a marvellous job & hope one day these beautiful creatures will be allowed back Into the wild again to run free. Or we can keep them as pets, I’d love one.

How could a place that rescues young and injured / sick squirrels get anything less than 5 stars Fabulous my wife and I are going to volunteer

The reception we got from Acorn was exceptional. Zoe arrived within 30 minutes to collect "Tony". She reassured us that they would do everything they could to help this 5 week old kit. On phoning a few days later once again we were reassured that all is well and Tony is settling into his new environment.

My cat unfortunately attacked a female grey squirrel and left her quite injured. Thankfully i managed to find Acorn Squirrel Rescue and after a quick call they had someone out to get her within 20 minutes. Literal life savers.

I can’t recommend Acorn Squirrel Rescue enough, after my wife and son found a poor injured squirrel on the side of the road that needed some help. After taking “Andy” home for a few hours to see if he would recover, it was clear he needed professional help. We firstly called a vet who said to bring him in, but then advised he would be put down due to a change in law. Quick google search later, I was speaking to Acorn Rescue who explained everything. 30 mins later they took “Andy” away to try and save him. He made it and is now living the highlife out of danger :-). Many people would have just walked past him, but after being hit by a car, and then clinging hold of my wife’s foot and allowing my son to hold him for a mile in a buggy, I think he earned his new home. So glad “Andy” made it through his ordeal, but if it wasn’t for Acorn, he wouldn’t be playing in his new environment now!!

Everyone from Acorn is so helpful and knowledgeable. They came to my rescue within an hour of me calling and couldn't do more to help! They were so professional and understanding. This is the first place I would go if I needed any wildlife help!! Thank you so much.

What an amazing place. Would definitely recommend contacting Acorn Squirrel Rescue if you have any concerns about a squirrel or other small wildlife. Unfortunately there are very few places who can now take grey squirrels. When we found an injured baby our instinct was to care for it not realising there would be few options after that. Acorn Squirrel Rescue stepped in swiftly and took over the care of our little critter. He is doing well and we now receive regular updates. Thank you so much.
