Took the opportunity to book a table in advance as we were travelling homeward by canal. For once we could appreciate the comfy sofas and atmosphere over a pint or two. Unfortunately the fires were not lit. The precautions for Covid-19 were good and the menu the same standard as previous visits when we had to drive...

Great little find last summer. Have returned since. Food is delicious. Service is prompt. Great menu and atmosphere.

Walked the canal towpath and called in to have a coffee. The staff welcoming and the coffee good. They serve food but didn't have any. It looked good as other people their. Pub lovely old world with real fire.
Great canalside pub friendly staff free wi-fi northamptonshire skittles also a cosy and friendly atmosphere toilets are posh i went earlier on yesterday (tuesday) with my mum after my 4 mile canal walk at braunston and the Oxford canal i came for a pint of diet coke and ready salted crisps and played 2 rounds of skittles followed by a quiet atmosphere and had the whole inside pub to ourselves
