WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ! PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING: Update: in relation to reply below. I never expressed my issues was the personality of the profiles that matched. I agree I saw some real positives in the profile. However none of them a realistic distance and I mentioned that on all 3 matches. The 1st profile you refer to is 60 miles away 1hr and 20 mins each way). Right from my initial phone calls I expressed concerns about location. I was assured that wouldn’t be an issue as their is plenty of suitable people in my local area. Some have been nice profiles, but here the big issue I had ... the distance...: The profiles which they have sent have been up to 105 miles away from me... seriously (2.30 hours drive each way)? How can you in the realistic world build a relationship on that? ‘Even if the other party is prepared to drive’. How often could you really meet with that distance with managing other life commitments? How could you expect the other party to drive each time? Then to establish a relationship from that... One of us moving quite a significant distance from where we are living currently? When you cannot work in reasonable distance your service becomes pointless... and some distance is fine... but 2:30 away? They are refusing to give me a refund as they not contradicting their T&C’s, as their sending profiles through... despite ridiculous distance. Please don’t waste your money or your time. Just look at the some of the other reviews...

I was disappointed to see Dating Options getting unfairly criticised above, as to me they are an honest and conscientious bunch of people, who in the main do a very good job. I joined in 2019 through Attractive Partners and on my third match, I was introduced to Ellie and we are now approaching our second anniversary.What people need to appreciate is that this is not a match.com and you can’t press a button and get 30 people in your area straight away. Everyone is personally interviewed and carefully vetted and every match is carefully thought out for you personally. For me it was a very good service and I do believe I have been given a chance with Ellie that I’d have never had via online dating.

I joined Dating Options through Searchmate in January of 2020, although my membership has been restricted by the Coronavirus pandemic I have enjoyed it and feel it offered good value for money. I met 14 ladies and I’d be the first to admit that many were high quality and maybe slightly out of my league. But joining Searchmate has given me that sort of opportunity. I am now happily linked with Fiona and it’s going really well, we are talking of getting engaged in the summer.
As a single parent with 2 children under 10, I feel I have to be very careful with dating and relationships. I would never introduce a man to my boys unless I was 100% sure that the relationship was going somewhere and had stood the test of time. I joined through Attractive Partners and I met some really very nice people, a cut above, what I was getting to date previously. I also feel that the guys are more committed in this form of dating, having proved themselves by paying a reasonable fee, being interviewed in some depth and being prepared to be checked out. To me that is worth its weight in gold with having the children.
This for me is a different kind of dating to anything I have undertaken before. Attractive Partners is a traditional and face to face dating company, that is really the opposite to web based dating. There is no online profile or photographs and everyone is interviewed and checked out before they are allowed to date others, so you know 100% you are meeting genuine people. I much prefer this and feel that using a dating app or online dating site is not for me. The quality of people is very high.
I joined Searchmate in July of last year and am now coming to the end of my 12 months Membership but will seriously consider joining again. This to me is ‘proper dating’ with people usually genuinely looking for a serious relationship and prepared to invest time in finding someone special. I do have a regret that I didn’t feel it was right to settle down when I met someone quite special after 3 months and feel she may well have been ‘the one’ but I didn’t understand that at the time, she has since become engaged to someone and is happily settled. But hey that’s life I guess. Definitely a good experience for me on the whole.
As a concept I personally find this very good, with several agencies together sharing a high quality database and it gave me the chance to meet people that I wouldn’t have had the chance to in the past. I like the fact that every date you go on has been carefully checked out for me and is known to my matchmaker. This has reassured me after 2 really bad experiences with online dating and having to flee from a bar using the ‘Ask Angela’ scheme due to feeling threatened.
