First time I've been here. Very nice. Helpful staff. There were people swimming in the lake. Cafe was lovely staff could not do enough for us. The food looked amazing and smelt wonderful. Lovely stroll around the lake even in the rain.

What a great place to chill and relax. Great setting. Very quiet. Prices for entrance vary. If you just want to walk round it’s 1 a person. Think it was about 5 if you want to swim in the lake. No fee if you just want to use the cafe. Nice to see people enjoying their surroundings and getting out into some fresh air. Easy to find with a great car park. Sometimes it’s just nice to be surrounded by nature.

Love Alderford! We always come for the day complete with swim kit, paddle boards and picnic. It has been a very welcome escape from Covid-cabin-fever and restrictive rules and regulations this summer with the ability to socially distance without any fuss. It's a gorgeous lake to swim in without time restrictions or set courses. The staff are always friendly. Sorry to be coming towards the end of our season for using it... But we will be back in 2021!

The bank around the lake was busy but there was still plenty of space. The water was amazing! We were SUP boarding. It was easy to get in and out, even though it was a little muddy in places. I was bare foot and perfectly comfortable with that- I'm very picky where I go bare foot! The inlet end of the lake was populated by massive and very beautiful carp basking in the sun. A very enjoyable afternoon that will be repeated. Remember that at the moment it closes at 4-30pm.
