Adequate parking outside of peak times, lacks bins but signs state to take dog and general litter home, some do not do this however. Plan accordingly and it’s a great place to walk yourself, the dogs or mountain bike, with set trails of varying difficulty. Fantastic views and a peaceful environment the further in you go.

We visited Thrunton Woods early one Saturday morning and really do recommend going earlier! We arrived just before 9 and were one of the only ones in the car park, by the time we returned just after 12 the car park was over flowing and many were parked along the narrow road. Thrunton Wood is well worth a visit, with wonderful views and a tranquil setting if you go outside of peak times! Great for hikes, family walks and mountain biking with a number of routes available.
Great place for a hike. So many different routes and a couple of caves to find. We did a 10 mile hike and loved it.

Very busy on a weekend these days due to covid and people discovering the outdoors, brilliant for walking and mountain biking not a designated cycle area but it's a really technical place to ride.
