My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here; I had seafood risotto followed by ginger panna cotta and my wife had smoked ham penne followed by warm chocolate brownie. This was after a very generous bowl of delicious black and green olives. The system of no bookings worked really well for us. The staff take your mobile number and call you when a table is available. We only had to wait 15 mins or so. The staff were friendly and efficient. All reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Ambleside.

Fantastic Food , lovely cosy little restaurant. I travel all over the country and I had such a great experience only handful of times. Truly recommended!
We were amazed to be able to get a table easily. We both had pizzas - a philly steak for my husband and a pollo & pepperoni(no cheese ) for me. The bases were light and crispy and the toppings very tasty. We followed them with sticky toffee pudding for him & chocolate browny with kirsch cherries & chocolate sauce for me, both much enjoyed. The service was very good, a mistake quickly rectified, our waiter friendly - we has a most enjoyable experience.
