Grizedale Forest and it's visitors centre are definitely with visit. The centre hasa fantastic children's play area and lovely cafe. There are 3 units with independent, talented artists making and selling a range of prints, paintings, baskets and pottery. The forest itself is beautiful with a myriad of walking trails, mountain bike trails and some amazing sculptures. There are mountain bikes to hire at Grizedale the fantastic Go Ape if you're not scared of heights! A fantastic day out.

Awesome forest will pack your day full of adventures of all sorts. Zip wire through the trees, tear the tracks up by mountain bike, explore by Segway or just enjoy the stream. Something for everyone.

Easy to park. 8 for the day, worth it as it goes towards the upkeep. Great day on the mountain bikes. Rained and hailed abit which made it interesting, but lots of shelter in the trees. Only been on my bike a few times this year, walked some bits but proud of myself in other parts. Would certainly visit again when here! Beautiful views too.

Great place to MTB! Just watch out for random people standing on the wrong side of the track on a really fun downhill after a grueling climb... It took a lot of effort not to take them out
