I came with a baby pushchair as ive seen people online saying its pushchair friendly which is definitely NOT.. thanks god i bought walker belt from a store near by and i left the pushchair down and let my 2.5 year old baby walk. We parked at rydal road car park ( LA229AN )and walked up its a nice easy walk. The pathway of the waterfalls is full of rocks, tree roots, stairs, and mud but very enjoyable.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I would highly recommend visiting Stock Ghyll Force, whenever the weather, and whatever the weather. It starts off with a small ascend up a road, filled with plenty of direction to the waterfalls. Leading to an open path, with a fence protecting you from falling down the side into the water.. As you venture further, you come across a very impressive weir. In this review I will leave some photos to show how magical it really is (better in real life!) during my visit (Autumn) all the auburns, oranges and fall colours were bursting with life, making this picturesque location really worth while. Carrying on, you will eventually be able to choose what path to walk up on. On the right hand side, you have the red path, giving you a bit more of a challenge. And on the left, a very family and dog! Friendly route up this amazing 70ft waterfall. The left route curls round and you come out onto a bridge, either side filled with fast flowing waterfalls ideal for any photographer. Leading you up higher into the woodland. Making your way up, you will be able to use the handrail on your right hand side to keep you in position and if wet, keep you from slipping. Beware when wet, the path will become filled with many puddles and slippery if you do not have the right footwear. I am going to end this review here because if you have made it to this point, you will either want to go here. Or not. And fine by me, it is your choice. And if you do I hope you have the best time and enjoy :-)

A bit wet under foot so walking boots recommended. It had rained heavily so the waterfall was spectacular. Quite an easy walk, good for children and dogs.

Lovely walk up from the town centre. The walk is shaped like a q. I would go up the right side and then over the bridge at the top, then down the left and cross the bridge at the bottom. The views of the falls are stunning and it’s a lovely thing to do with families, short walk with high reward, etc.

A sturdy walk up through the woods to a lovely set of waterfalls. The path gets a bit muddy at times.
