I was in the trespass in Ambleside the other day with my daughter looking for a new pair of boots. I received excellent advice from a gentleman in the store, who's name I have forgotten it may have been Louie or Luke?, (apologies whoever you are) either way the gentleman with a beard and shaved head. He was very honest about the products available (a quality which is rare nowadays) which was essential as the trip we are undertaking requires a good set of footwear. Not only this but he inquired about our trip where we were going, and what we were doing just to be sure we were prepared! And though he steered us away from the boots he directed us to some base layers and indeed some leggings (though this may have been a sales technique, and if so it worked!). He was very informative and friendly. And to add the gentleman in glasses and a beard (there seems to be a theme) was laughing and making jokes with the customers ahead of me in the que, it made the shop feel almost like a local busness. I have found it to be a very helpful and positive experience and will definitely return.

Went to the Grasmere and Ambleside stores while on holiday. One member of the staff at the Grasmere store was extremely helpful and very friendly. As for the manager completely different, she was extraordinarily rude to me other customers and even her own staff. I thought things might be better at the Ambleside store but there again the manager was very rude and again he treated his staff with no respect. I will not be returning to either of these stores every again unless management is changed.

The lady serving in the shop was very unhelpful and rude! Terrible customer service; I was about to purchase a pair of boots but she was so rude I changed my mind! The gentleman, on the other hand was very helpful and I’d have happily bought them if he had completed the sale.

Good products and good prices, but above all excellent customer service. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and go the extra mile to be helpful - which is why we returned to them for purchases during our Ambleside holiday.
