A fantastic holiday cottage at the foot of the black mountain. Really lovely experience, exceptional little details that elevate it above others. We have gone back twice and booked to go again. The nicest cottage around.

Fantastic cottage in a lovely area near to both town and countryside. Immaculately kept and a joy to stay in. Owners very responsive and helpful with questions and the booking process.
Nant Melyn Cottage is situated at the base of the Black Mountains part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. I booked the cottage using Airbnb but the contact from the owner Steve was first class. Arriving at the cottage, opening the door my wife and I both had big smiles and looked at each other saying this is nice. The cottage is very well appointed Steve has thought of everything, there are too many nice little touches to go into but the tipple bar and logs ready for the log fire were my favourite. It's an old property with lots of charm with two comfortable two seater sofas infront of the fire and a dinning table for four. The kitchen has everything you need a few nice touches like a bottle of Red or White wine available if you need it. Upstairs has one Master bedroom and a second bedroom which was converted to two single beds for my two boys. The bathroom was a nice surprise I didn't expect such a nice bath and shower in an old cottage. The garden is excellent and although it was February we enjoyed some fresh air with a hot drink. It was a good location for us to meet family and friends in Swansea and perfect for walking in the mountains. The log fire is great and makes the cottage very warm and cosy. If you are looking for a very nice well appointed cottage for peace and quiet close to beautiful mountains, the coast, with local history Nant Melyn is the place for you. I highly recommend this cottage.
Lovely cottage on the edge of the hills. Good base for walking.
