Took my child there for the 1st time, met by a rather large young bloke (with personal hygiene problems) and who I believe was his gran, told me there are no longer taking on new cubs, both rude and the bloke really gave me the creeps, and go to the group at the pheonix centre, upon arrival there, after meeting the leaders there, i've decided, that scouting in this area seems badly organised and very political, whilst talking to the woman who runs this group, she told me this group will be 'taking'over the other group early next year,so they utilise the hall better than the idiots currently running it,what a joke, this is not scouting. After talking to a friend about this, was told the group at the pheonix centre are run by the masons, likewise with andover, so best find another activity for my child. she was also surprised that the cub leader of this group is actually allowed near children due to reasons he was kicked out of school!!!

that explains why when i complained to both the district commissioner and then hampshire scouting 2 years ago about that leaders disgusting behaviour towards my autistic child, having a couple of favourite cubs he was overtly close to, and he and his fathers inappropriate comments about 'killing foreigners then sending them home' one also shared with some other ex army cook idiot also within scouting. nothing was done about it He also told the cubs he was ex-SAS and left the service because he was shot in afgan on a 'special' mission, point being he's not bright enough to join and I was told later he actually failed the entrance exams, probably because he wasn't allowed mummy in with him to help The 9th is better, and the kids wont get bored
