This hospital still carries out barbaric ECT treatment which is banned in many EU countries. From my experience and subsequent research, on administration of the first few ECT treatments people usually feel a sense of euphoria for the first 6 months after which their mental health declines dramatically leaving them distressed and suicidal. A relative of mine was misdiagnosed by this hospital with manic depression and was forced to have ECT treatment multiple times over many years when she had multiple personality disorder all along. Since these ECT treatments she has never been right since, physically and mentally and ended up totally reliant and addicted to medication which is subsequently destroying her organs, shortening her life expectancy.. I am writing this as a warning to other human beings and family members who end up at the mercy of this hospital. Think twice about agreeing to your family member having ECT. Fight for them not not to have it. It's a barbaric treatment that maybe works for a few months but not after that. Trust your gut and research the long term mental and physical effects. Due to this hospitals malpractice the person I knew has been lost forever.

DRAMATIC WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, THEY BRAINWASH YOU AND RUIN YOUR BODY.BETTER OFF DEAD. THATS HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL! SINCE I GOT TREATMENT IN HOLLYWELL I HAVENT WORKED SINCE.CANT DRIVE ANYMORE.HAVE NO STRENGTH ANYMORE,NEVER MIND THE MEDS GIVING ME ERECTION DYSFUNCTION AND I WENT IN AT A HEALTHY BODY WEIGHT AND PHYSICAL HEALTH,NOW THEY ARE MONITERING ME FOR HEART DESEISE BECAUSE THEY MADE ME 13 STONE OVERWEIGHT INSIDE 10 N A HALF MONTHS.THEY ARE A DISGRACE..THEY ARE B******S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
