Andy is a fantastic guitar tutor whether you're a beginner or an experienced player. I'd been playing guitar for 35 years before deciding to have lessons and Andy has completely transformed my playing, giving me knowledge and a new found confidence. He's patient, extremely knowledgeable, as well as being thouroughly nice bloke! Highly recommended.

I’ve been having lessons with Andy for more than two years, and I’ve learnt a hundred times more than I ever did in 17years owning a guitar before that. I thoroughly look forward to my lessons - Andy judges the pace to go at perfectly depending on how comfortable I am with any particular piece we’re working on, how I’m coping with whichever skill he’s trying to teach...and how much practice I’ve managed to fit in! Andy has also taught a few lessons to both my children (4 and 6yrs at the time) and despite them not catching the bug as I have, I was hugely impressed at Andy’s ability to tailor his approach to each of them. They still look forward to seeing him when he comes for my lessons. I couldn’t recommend Andy Fern more to anyone; he’ll be flexible whenever possible to make having lessons easy around your life, he’ll help you to feel positive about your progress, and he has the best teacher’s knack of all, the ability to teach you things without really noticing you were doing it (though because he isn’t actually a magician, you’ll still have to PRACTICE!!)
