We went about a month ago for an hour and a half boat trip with Aquaxplore and it was a blast. First, allow me to mention that the drive to the boat trip - towards the Isle of Sky, is amazing for itself. You go through this beautiful little village called Elgol which is on the shores of Loch Scavaig towards the end of the Strathaird peninsula in the Isle of Skye. The scenery on that road is magnificent for itself. With that being said, the trip with Aquaxplore was terrific. Very friendly and nice staff, and the skipper was great and informative too. The trip on boat was really fantastic. We were there on a shiny day but very windy and chilling weather, and we enjoyed every minute of it. What you see and experience is spectacular. Besides the stunning Lake and the gorgeous scenery all around, we got to see a bunch of seals on a rocky island in the middle of the lake and also some interesting sea birds. You can choose from going on a short trip or on a longer trip which they will take you to this beautiful island where you get to spend an hour and a half touring on the island by foot. When the boat will be back to pick you up you will be greeted with a choice of either a hot coffee, hot chocolate or a cold orange juice, free on the house. I even saw one of the passengers who paid for a nice shot of whiskey to get his body warmed up. Lol Anyway, it's definitely worth the effort to make this boat trip as I mentioned before, if only for doing the drive at the foot of the shores of Loch Scavaig.

We chose trip number 4 (4h hours duration). A good boat and history experience despite not enough wild animals as expected. We have seen only few seals and birds. We spent around 1h stop on the Isle of Canna (1/4 of trip duration), waiting to go again on boat to see more wildlife sightings. Why spending 25% of the boat trip duration on that Isle ? I dont know ... The staff and the captain were very kind. It's a good experience for who want to see beautiful natural sights and learn about that Isles history, not worth-it if you want to see only wild animals (may be we got no chance, hope you will have more).
Took the 4 hour puffin tour last year , was absolutely amazing we saw puffins of course Red deer on a beach on Rum ,a Minke whale, seals and a pod of dolphins that swam at the side of the boat providing amazing photo opportunities , really friendly crew , informative and the hour on Canna was lovely had a brew a Rabbit sausage roll and a quick stroll , will be back for the 8 hour trip.
Couldn't go for anything less than a five star rating. The crew was absolutely great and knew a ton of things about the wildlife there. Add to that the fact that we got to see a Minke Whale, some porpoises and dolphins along with seals and we had an absolutely wonderful time. Would strongly recommend if you're a wildlife enthusiast/fan.
Drove 30 mins to go out on their tour that we called and confirmed the previous day. They weren't answering the phone when we tried to call but took the risk to turn up anyway to a completely closed cabin. No sign in the window, no answer to the phone. Very very poor. Just put an answerphone on or something maybe?!
We had a great time. The guide was very knowledgeable and kept us interested all the time. We saw dolphins, puffins, etc. Highly recommend.
Super adventure on the "speedboat" to Canna with the children sitting in front.
We did this on a mediocre weather day but still had a blast. The crew is very helpful and knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. After a long boat ride, the tea and panini at the wee cafe on Canna can't be beat. Avoid this if you get sea sick but otherwise, you'll have a blast.
