This is a lovely place to visit. I am here on a Sunday afternoon and it is a really chilled out place to relax or go for a walk. There is a cafe here and a few shops You have to pay for parking, but it isn't too expensive.

Absolutely stunning and huge. No wonder its billed as the 9th largest reservoir in the UK. Its enormous, spanning 6 postcodes. Such a beautiful place with fabulous easy walks with amazing views and wildlife

Excellent service!! I hired a bicycle, and they only took like 10 minutes to replace my bike without any quibbles when the chain got stuck in the the pedal cogs! Lovely morning out on the bike trails!

I have fished here for several years and have never been disapointed, great facilities and good fishing, unfortunatly this has all changed, due to covid only the fishermens toilet is open, the lake has obviously not been stocked to the same level and those lucky enough to catch are finding the trout tiny, some under a pound. I fished with a large group and I'm not alone in being very disappointed by the lack of fish and the size of those caught.

Note this review is about the kayaking facility not the whole lake. There's a very small restricted area within which to kayak. If you go out of your way to get here with a private kayak, you'll have about 20 mins going round some yellow balls in a training area. Such a pity as there's loads of beautiful coast, but stray outside of the yellow buoys and they'll come after you with a speed boat!

Went canoeing with the family and had great fun. Friendly staff and great facilities. Due to Covid the changing areas were closed. Definitely coming back again.
