Lovely walk here local to Epsom. I had a peaceful walk taking it all in, only complaint is the amount of litter, particularly from dog walkers leaving bags hanging on trees, other than that a beautiful place to come and visit.

Nice walk to go and find this. No clear signposting to find it but the location marker on Google Maps is pretty accurate.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Ashtead Common. Not much to see... if you don't use your imagination. Very informative information board. Extremely interesting.
I can't understand why this has been added as a place to review but feel compelled to comment following some previous reviews. What were people expecting? A gift shop? Tony Robinson here to greet you? This is the site of a Roman building 2000 years ago, set within a large forested area of common land, that should be compelling enough. On the site was a bathhouse and tile kiln, it's now woodland. Nearby is an iron age earthwork enclosure which is still visible in some form. Although, there is no café there so I wouldn't bother.
Aint nothing here but a info board
Worth a look in for our historic heritage......tho' can be difficult to find?
