Took the family and some friends to Ashton Court for an afternoon. We played the new course and totally fell for the game and the surroundings. Everyone from the 6 year olds, to the 66 year old had a great time. We will be back !!
Me and a friend spent the afternoon here with our children (aged 5 - 8) on a dad day. The baskets are all brand new and very sturdy. At first the kids kept running around in each others way, but once they got the hang of waiting and taking turns to throw, they had a great time. Dave and I also enjoyed it. We parked in the car-park by the manor-house so as to get a bit of a walk in, and afterwards we had a nice bit of lunch in the cafe. It was a fun way to get some outdoor time, and they were suitably tired by the end of the day.
An excellent course and fun for all the family, I went here with a group of friends and after checking in at the golf kiosk picking up our discs and heading to the course we found ourselves hooked and wanting more! A great activity for those looking to either get outdoors, give the kids something new to do or even have a competitive battle with the other parents/friends it's a must do for everyone visiting/living in bristol. Can't wait to play more!
Ashton Court is the most beautiful green spot in Bristol and I am so happy that now the disc golf course is there so playing this game can be part of all day out adventure in such a lovely park. For me disc golf is an amazing activity. Once you try your life will change It gives you great opportunity to spend amazing time outside and forget about all problems and everyday tasks… The goal of the game is to throw a frisbee into a metal basket starting from a specific start point. Every player is counting numbers of throws used in the whole round and the winner is person with the lowest score. Simply it works like golf but you are using a flying frisbee. You can play it alone, in pairs and in groups. Brilliant social and family game, ideal for teenagers, adults, kids and also grandparents! You don’t have to be an athlete to play this sport. All you need is basic outdoor clothes! But this course is hidden in woods so little rain or wind is not a single problem there You will get you frisbee from Kiosk in Ashton Court. No more equipment needed So simple and easy The car park is just next to the kiosk and course so it is easy to find the right way. And also there is a café where you can buy some drinks and food. Course is well designed and has all signs and maps so it is really easy to navigate there. I was there few times and definitely I will come back! Great 9 holes absolutely ideal if you have never played before or you are beginner but also very challenging place for pro players who can check their skills and accuracy. I saw many advanced players there. Really worth to watch them! Trying this game is a must if only you will find a free afternoon
