Having lost my husband to cancer in 2017, I began to feel that I was in need of someone special in my life again and after some horrendous experiences on dating apps and sites, where I quickly learned that gentlemen in the true sense of the word are in very short supply on most of them. I joined Avenues in August of 2019 and have enjoyed almost every minute of my membership. Whilst Avenues is much slower paced the quality of the people is so much higher and you are given time and space to evaluate whether or not you truly like and are compatible with potential partners. Working with my own matchmaker has been very fruitful too, a mentor and guide that can help you greatly during the course of your membership. Following a stressful and upsetting divorce I joined Avenues as I felt I needed pointing in the right direction and Liz who handled my enquiry was great to deal with. It was also very reassuring to visit the office and meet the team involved. I have met some delightful ladies during the lifetime of my membership and I am now extremely hopeful that I have met the right one in Fiona. We have been partners now for 4 months and I am convinced that this may well be permanent.
