I recently had my car in for a service and mot and I have a concerning ongoing issue at the front which I wanted checked and repaired. Several times I pointed this out and they ended up fixing issues that didn't exist for example my REAR BRAKES which were fitted a few days before the Mot. They then advised to get the brake pads and discs renewed as there was apparently heat damage to the discs when the pads I had fitted a few days before were brand new the garage I had this done at even told me the discs were in a condition to pass so don't even bother lying to me. They have now conveniently 'lost' the vehicle health check video which showed the damage. It wasn't sent to me as promised during the mot and service plan (that I paid extra for when I bought the car from Arnold Clark). I have now been doing some research and finding out that arnold clark has a 'hitting the car up' policy where they find things that are not wrong with the vehicle and customers, even their on staff have then had the vehicle taken to an independent garage for proper inspection only to find nothing is wrong. Is this the practice your company takes? 358 followed by 250 within the space of a few days. I won't be buying again from arnold clark as I have lost total confidence in this company. I have emailed customer service and explained to them what happened but all they do is put your concerns on to the branch so that they can extort even more money from you.
