Loved this place. Booked last minute and was sceptical after reading reviews but had been let down by another place. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Charlotte was amazing. Stayed the first weekend after lockdown and their was a small issue with heating in one of the cottages this was resolved quickly around us and our plans and the owners could not of been more helpful. The location is great with direct access to the Monsal trail which leads into Bakewell. The games room is great and all the attached cottages were decorated beautifully. I would definitely stay again although we have had an additional dog join the extended family so may not be able to due to limit on dogs allowed. Please give this place a try I feel that some of the reviews do not reflect the quality and service offered here. It’s a great place for a large family holiday.

Stayed in the Coach House, which was spacious and nicely decorated. Lounge, decent size kitchen with big table and 2 double bedrooms (one with twin beds) , both en suite. Can walk out of the back of the property straight onto the Monsal trail. Games room with table tennis table.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Lovely cottages but absolutely awful people. Stay away! They actually threatened my aunt with being shot because she was on private land (although there was no sign to say so). WiFi did not work. Owners phone did not work. Owner actually pretended she was not the owner!? Let herself into our cottage at 7am in the middle of a storm & still has given no reasonable explanation. Couldn't understand why we might have a problem with a guy fixing the bedroom window without any notice. Lied repeatedly & incredibly rude every time we met. Cottage was not cleaned when we arrived & there were no bin bags. When we complained, they said we had hurt their feelings & should not be so quick to judge. No apology. If you cannot cope with social interaction you should not run a business such as this.
Terrible Stay, Owners where no where to be found, spoken to rudely, repeatedly by the \staff\. It's a shame because the buildings are quite nice.
We arrived to find the place uninhabitable.The owner was useless and gave us no help. I highly recommend not going there.
