I highly recommend Banbury drum tuition, My son who is 7 years old absolutely loves his weekly drumming lesson, he looks forward to it every week, Johnathan is great with Harvey he makes every lesson fun they drum along to good music that Harvey likes, I find Johnathan very friendly and easy to talk to.
My son, aged ten, has been having lessons with Jonathan for over eighteen months. During this time not only has he greatly improved in terms of his technical skills and ability, but also Jonathan has introduced him to a huge range of music. My son through Jonathan is learning more than just how to play the drums, he is becoming a well rounded musician. Jonathan’s knowledge, energy and enthusiasm are pivotal in my sons musical development. He has a great student centred teaching style and ensures that lessons are both fun and appropriately challenging. I asked my son what words three words he would use to describe his lessons and he replied “interesting, fun and exciting!”.
Jonathon Groethe instructs my two boys, ages 7 and 9. They have been taking instruction under Jonathon for a few months now and there is a definite improvement and progression with each weekly lesson. This hasn’t been lessons that I have ever had to make them go as they have sincerely enjoyed taking lessons and actually look forward to each weekly lesson. Jonathon’s techniques used, in particular, with children, makes it a fun learning environment for them without making them feel like learning is such a burden by being inundated with theory. Jonathon is able to intertwine the theory into the lessons, as well keeping the beats “fresh” with different types of music-never boring and most importantly, the kids don’t feel overwhelmed. Who doesn’t learn better while having fun! Kudos to Jonathon for a job well done in instruction!
Jonathan Groethe is a great drum teacher. I really enjoy going to his drum lessons because it's lots of fun and very challenging. I find his style of teaching very laid back and relaxing which makes it easier and more fun to learn. I suffer from all types of seizures including epilepsy. Through having drum lessons regularly I have managed to control alot of my seizures by learning to control my stress levels, which is a big trigger of seizures. I would recommend Jonathan to anyone who likes music especially the drums ! Sarah Davis
