This place is usually amazing and I would highly recommend if you don’t have asthma. However today I went to the swimming pool with my friend and was told that I had to pass a competent swimmer test. I am a competent swimmer,I can do the 2 lengths with ease and tread water for easily a minute. However due to my asthma I do an altered version of all strokes. I cannot take the short breaths between arm movements so I keep my head above water for a bit longer and then put it under for a bit longer. Due to this I was told that I wouldn’t pass as I am not doing a registered stroke. My friend did the test and her asthma started acting up so she had to stop for a second as a result she failed as the lengths had to be non stop. So due to us not being “competent “ swimmers we had to stay in the shallow end which was fairly crowded.
