We live on Anglesey and sometimes find a young hedgehog in our garden out in the daytime which we knew meant there was something wrong. We found a young hedgehog under our birdfeeder, it was cold and looking in a bad way. I contacted Ruth Williams our local RSPCA lady and she put us on to Hedgehuggles. Sue who runs the branch in Valley/Anglesey took it in and we later found out that it had made a full recovery Two weeks later we found another out in the daytime. Again it was cold but otherwise it didn't look to bad. We took it indoor and as recommended by Hedgehuggles, we filled a hot-water bottle and covered it with a towel and put the little hedgehog in a box. I called Sue, but she was full up and put me on to Sarah who runs the Bangor branch. Sarah to it in and a couple of days ago we got a message to say it had some parasites but was on medication and making a full recovery. Hedgehuggles don't get any grants or financial help apart from donations and fund raising which has been hard hit during this covid-19 lockdown. These people do it out of the goodness of their own hearts and our unsung heroes for our wildlife and need all the help we can give them to be able to carry on such a noble and selfless cause.
