Weird place. Meant to be aimed at children and yes they do have slides and ball pits etc but why do they have creepy pictures all around the place. Something to do with paganism? Read up the history and the name ‘The Idol’ and all the creepy pictures will make sense. Not cosy at all.

Sian the swimming teacher she is the best. My daughter learned berry quickly with her. I hope the next lessons are gonna be only with her

Fresh and clean gym with a decent amount of equipment, 2 swimming pools and a spa on site too
I love this sports centre. My 4 years old really enjoy his swimming classes. Nice and clean but sometimes too crowded.
Removed my son due to an ill child arriving for a lesson, who informed the swim teacher she was ill. Manager arrived who stated she could remain for the lesson. We love the staff at this leasure centre, but one duty manager who when it comes to safety is incompetent ruins the experience.
After 2 lock downs, it was wonderful to be able to visit the leisure centre. We had to book in advance as limited number of people were allowed at a time.
We're in the height of a pandemic and there isn't clear communication given by the centre. I have called multiple times and NO ONE answers the phone, in fact you are met with an answering machine that rings and then returns to the switchboard after a couple of rings. Abbey leisure centre is VERY unprofessional, some of the staff don't seem to know the answers to questions regarding memberships either.
