Station for London underground and c2c services in zone 4. Very crowded, poorly maintained and no escalators. There are lot of shops bars and restaurants nearby. There are even quick bite eateries in the platforms which are good.

Horrible place, needs some serious attention with recycling, fly tipping, shops, restaurants, local work. Only positives are access to central London and Essex. Work with landlords to reduce rent and sponsor new businesses that aren't barbers, chicken shops or 1 shops.

Good location for ppl having job location in Cannery Warf. Good connectivity for central London but house rents are too much.

COMMUTER BEWARE: Even though Barking station offers excellent transport links to both Essex and central London: you may rightly ask \why the one-star review?\ Two Words: public safety. Upon exiting the station late evening, you will frequently see groups of insalubrious individuals gathered outside either begging or blatantly indulging in shall we say somewhat more nefarious activities. This intolerable situation has developed due to a lack of both station staff and an invisible Metropolitan Police who are now reduced to a reactive police service rather than a proactive police force.
