what a really lovely old building this is i could look at the art work on the outside of this beautiful building for hours. But there is a lot more lovely things to see inside so when your in Barnsley call in I will on my next visit there

Interesting place to visit for an hour or so for a bit of Barnsley History, culture. Barnsley has made a great contribution to the world, from all areas especially industry and through arts and media. Barnsley has some of the friendliest, warmest and funniest people on Earth! I'm not from Barnsley by the way. Had a great visit with my daughter.

Its great to sit down and, find your past in the documents, and files they're endless, great place to research, lovely staff, friendly and very helpful , if you need an interesting place to study go to Barnsley Archives

I recommended Barnsley museum to a friend. Me and my friend and our children visited during the school holidays. It is a vital part of Barnsley and were made very welcome. The kids enjoyed taking part with the art work with a friendly, helpful member of staff. A great day out!

It was nice to visit the museum, very useful if you want to understand the history of Barnsley. Also you can drink coffee or something else before or after to visit the museum. At the gift shop you can buy something for memory. Only thing which I'm not saw at the gift shop that fridge magnet with picture from views for Barnsley.

A great little museum with lovely craft sessions for children. There's lots going on here especially in the school holidays. A nice little gift shop has a range of local flours produced at a nearby local mill.
