I purchased a second hand car from Harratts in Barnsley recently. I dealt with Rob who made the whole process really simple and enjoyable. I’ve only had the car for a few days but it’s the best car I’ve ever had and I am really happy with it. Any issues with the car Rob has either sorted already or offered to sort out for me shortly. I would recommend this garage to anyone and also to anyone thinking about getting a car on finance as the process is very smooth.

We were sat in a Range Rover dealership waiting to be seen..... after waiting 45 mins I had another look online at the Range Rover Evoque and afternoon ringing Dominic and confirming it was there we set off on the 65 mile drive to Mitsibushi....car was clean when we arrived, fuelled for the test drive and we got the price we wanted for our part exchange.... guess that makes it sold then :-) Arrived today (23rd) to collect the car and it was even shinier, paperwork swapped and I said goodbye to our Jaguar XE and hello to a Range Rover Evoque.... Dominic, super job at looking after myself and Michelle on Saturday and even more so at collection today..... 5 stars for team Harratts :-)
Firstly i would like to say a huge thank you to Chris and the team. My father enquired about a car and in his 70's is not all that savvy when it comes to technology. Chris explained the features of the car really well and also was clear and straight to the point with the whole process. On the day of collection the car was sat outside waiting for us clean and covid disinfected. Secondly i would like to say that this was one of the most friendly car buying experiences that we have ever had. Not once did we feel pressured or pushed into buying a car. We felt as if we had know Chris years with how we was treated.The only reason we bought our car from Harratts was the reviews that led us to believe this company could be trusted. Having bought a used Mazda 2 here recently, I can say the customer service is relatively friendly in person. A few days after purchase, however, the car wouldn't start as the battery had died. I replaced the battery and contacted Harratts regarding my warranty. They told me I wasn't entitled to any refund for the battery or its fitting as the problem would have to be diagnosed by Harratts themselves. I live in Hull, how do you expect me to transport my car with a dead battery to Darton? I better make sure I'm driving around West Yorkshire if anything else goes wrong.
I spoke with Chris Fowler in relation to a vehicle I was interested in. He was polite, informative and gave me a good description of the vehicle. In fact, I trusted his account so much that I effectively purchased it unseen. In the 24 hours between that call and collection, the car had been cleaned, prepared and serviced. He kept me fully informed all of the time and when I finally arrived at the dealership, the whole handover procedure was seamless, very professional and totally hassle free. The car wasn't exactly as described .......it was better! I am delighted with the purchase. I think it is safe to say that Chris was an out and out professional all the way and made the whole buying experience a pleasurable one.
