I visited Basanti India recently, and what a lovely shopping experience it was. The shop is very clean, neat and tidy. Everything is well displayed and the customer service was excellent. I only went in for a look around and was very pleasantly surprised. Two purchases later and I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you. I wish you well in your business.

My parents bought my partner the 'Hempseed" oil for Christmas and he loves it- it smells absolutely amazing. I also have some products from Basanti India including a most treasured bag. Definitely drop into the shop of you're ever in Selkirk, Imogen is so lovely and great for a chat!

I have tried the SOS Organics soaps before and loved them so much that I drove 90 miles to visit the Basanti India shop in Selkirk to buy some more! I bought 8 , that should last a while.. I heartily recommend anyone to try these wonderful soaps; SO much better than anything in any supermarket shops in the UK.. The lady in the shop was very nice and when I run out, I'll definitely be going back for more!

A lovely new shop in Selkirk. Beautiful gifts and ethically sourced too. What's not to like. Just popped out to the post office and came back with a new pair of trousers and a top...

Fabulous products, ethically sourced - my favourite thing is the SOS soaps from Uttarakhand. Hand made by a small business employing local women (I've visited the place) and the soaps smell amazing, last for ages and are all natural and organic. Oh, and Basanti India's proprietor is a wonderful human being into the bargain
