As many others have commented here the staff are very arrogant and rude... I’ll share my experience. I called up once and bought a guitar over the phone with the idea of collecting it. I then realised after hanging up that it’s unwise to buy a guitar without seeing it and playing first so I called back literally 5 minutes later to request a refund and said that I would come in person to check the guitar first and more than likely buy it. At this point the man dealing with me says “I can’t refund you it’s already gone through” which anyone knows is complete nonsense... When I insisted he said he would have to charge me 50 pounds as there’s a fee for charging money back to my credit card... I’d like to point out that when I discussing buying the guitar with him over the phone originally he said “no problem if you don’t like the guitar when you come to pick it up you can have a refund” So when I brought that up and stated that he essentially left out the part that they would charge me a fee of 50 pounds he actually sounded quite nervous Untrustworthy Con artists. Simply. Be very careful buying a guitar from these people you never know what problems they’re aren’t telling you about it. I’ll note when I said my Asian name over the phone his vocal tonality dropped in a very disappointed way which speaks volumes of his perception of ethnic minorities... ironically this was just a projection of his own immorality...

Such a shame... The place itself is great with an impressive selection. It's just the service that I found to be a let down. I was watched and questioned so intensely that it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. I wasn't allowed to pick up any guitars without permission and there was no ounce of friendliness from the guy who \helped\ me. I understand you have to be careful when people are playing vintage guitars, but the way they came across made it such a bad experience that I couldn't leave quick enough. Please work on this!

My boyfriend and I went into the shop one afternoon to have a look at their guitars. I'll preface this by saying that he's been playing guitar for over 10 years and to a high standard. As we browsed the selection, I was asking my bf about the guitars (as I have little knowledge of them and was interested to know). As he started explaining about his preferred guitar weight, the man who was working there decided to make a really snarky comment, basically insinuating that my bf had no idea what he was talking about and that he was wrong. We obviously left quickly after realising how pretentious the shop was and never went back. Apparently this guy has some 'special' knowledge that us mere mortals could not possibly comprehend. Laughable. Not suprised to see others have said the same.

Always a pleasure to visit V n R in bath, even in these difficult times. Great new website makes temptation even harder. Glad all the guys are OK, so if you need good expert advice about anything guitar or amp wise then that's the place to go. Rock on bro's.
