I was a long time admirer of black boar knives until fairly recently. When I decided to have a knife made. The attention to detail is magnificent and You are involved in the whole process from start to finish. I was so pleased with my knife I ordered another one which I am soon to collect. It won’t be the last. My advice, buy a knife from Black Boar Knives, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent place to get your knifes weather for pleasure or work. A friend of mine ordered me a knife from work and had it delivered to my house. Safe to say I was very surprised both when I got the knife and even more surprised at hou well it does. The only warning I would give is these knifes are extremely sharp (but that's the point in a work knife) I also asked for one of my old knifes to have life bright back into its old battered blade and when I received it back it was better than new. The staff are very friendly and helpful and very patient and proud and passionate of there work. I would highly recommend black boar knifes if you want a properly made knife John that makes the knifes is very freindly and will keep you upto date with you're knifes progress. 5 out of 5 doesn't do black boar knifes justice i would definitely say 10 out of 5 I know have 3 knifes made by them 1 repair and more to come.
I ordered a Sgian dubh as a gift for my husband for out 15th wedding anniversary. It was a last minute idea but they ensured that it got to me on time. The design and quality are excellent as was the service. Thanks again.

Been a fan of black board knives for a while now , I especially like his sgian dubhs, being a drummer and tutor in a pipe band, bespoke sgian dubhs make your uniform look that bit more nicer and John's certainly are bespoke,, though I haven't bought any of his knives his work inspired me to make a few sgian dubhs of my own,, something I would never had dreamt of,, John's work is top class and puts his heart and sole into his knives,, this makes them very special knives to own,, thanks for the inspection John,, respect..
