I have driven pass Giggling Squid but never tried their food until today. Prior to the visit I read some reviews regarding the mannerisms of the staff so was a bit put off but decided to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised we had Jamie ( sorry if I have pronounced your name wrongly) as our server and I was so impressed by the Thai hospitality just goes to show do not believe all that you read make sure you give it a go yourself. The food was delicious enjoyed the sea bass and yes the server did take longer to get our bill but that was a minor compared to the exceptional service we received.

We ordered two tapas sets, one consisting of a butterfly prawn salad, a spring roll, beef massaman curry and rice, the other a salt and pepper squid (perfect, fresh and crisp), chicken wings (warmed up and chewy), chicken massaman curry and rice. The currys were brilliant, flavoursome although they were definitely re-heated. The chicken wings were re-heated and were therefore chewy and slightly stale, the prawn salad had an unusual taste including the prawn which was cold. We ordered two puddings, the chocolate soufle and the mango cake, both accompanied by a small scoop of cheap vanilla ice cream. The soufle was mostly dry as it had been over cooked and the mango cake was bland and appeared warmed up. Staff were polite but for obvious reasons, didn't interact with us due to Covid restrictions. However, cheekily added service charge to the bill when they simply presented the drinks, food and desert to the table. Considering the fact that branch was fairly empty (2.30pm), the staff weren't very attentive and required calling over to be served or for the bill. Not bad, but not a great experience considering the 56 bill! Very overpriced for a small lunch.

Got a takeout on Saturday, collection time 7:45pm. I was stood outside until 8:30pm waiting to collect, then once I got home it was all cold. Based on that I'd give one star. However I've had some great meals at Giggling Squids where I've eaten in, and found if I've ever had issues the customer service great. 1 star for take out (though I will try again to see if it was a one off experience) 5 star for eating in - many great meals at GS.

These guys are the best! The staff were really fun & friendly, really engaging. The menu is massive, almost running up against option paralysis but made it through. Will definitely be back to try the rest!

Food is always great. We had a problem with part of our order but the staff were great and sorted it out. The bigger upstairs area can lack atmosphere of it is empty but the staff up there have always been really friendly and helpful which had more than made up for it. They seem to do a good job on social distancing. Definitely recommended.
