Because I like it is tucked in a beautiful courtyard in the heart of Bakewell. It has a great selection of food and drinks. It caters really well for vegetarians. Lovely coffee. It has a little art and craft shop attached to it that has a great mix of things to buy. Great vibe too it was friendly and relaxed. I would recommend popping in. A real find.

Managed to come here before it closed. I ordered a Bakewell tart and steamed milk. Steamed milk wasn't that delicious so I would say you can skip that. However I'm not a big fan of Bakewell tart either. I would suggest you try other stuff on their menu! Staff is lovely and courteous and the cafe has a cute vibe!

Loveliest café! Genuinely impressed by the vegan options available, had a scone (best thing ever) with jam and coconut cream which was delicious and a mug of soup! The staff were very friendly and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming! 4 starts only because of the prices but I would pay again for such a lovely time.

Vegan review: Loved the menu here as there were so many vegan options as well as lots of vegan cake options. I got a soy chai latte, the vegetable Penang curry and the Bakewell tart with soya cream. All delicious! I took away the flapjack which was so tasty too, and she knocked 50p off as it was smaller than the usual size! I noticed some of the desserts had won great taste awards too. For 2 drinks, 2 meals, 3 desserts it was about 27. Service was great, and it’s located in an art gallery so you can browse and buy art, and craft cards etc.

This is no longer ‘because I like it’. It’s a new cafe, owner is nice but Covid measured are poor. Masks not worn properly by staff, no hand-sanitiser. Food is mediocre, cakes aren’t great.

Some real coffee and authentic sweet to go with it. Really love it. Incredible value.

Amazing range of cakes for all sorts including gluten free and vegan. The vegan Bakewell Tart was amazing. Nice tea, coffee was okay, staff very friendly. A but cramped because it's so popular!
